Parker Woods Nature Preserve

Parker Woods Nature Preserve is the largest of the Northside parks and is named after Alexander Langland Parker, who sold the property for the park to the city. This park features both well restored forests and sections overrun with invasive plants. Despite large infestation from invasive vines and plants, this forest features an impressive display of spring ephemeral flowers and mature native trees species.

The park entrance is located at Haight and Bruce Avenues. Turn right (east) onto Bruce from Hamilton Avenue about one half mile north of Knowltons Corner. This forest has been one of the primary focuses of Northside greenspaces due to its condition and location directly adjacent to Parker Woods Montessori School.
