Buttercup Valley Nature Preserve

Buttercup Valley Nature Preserve is one of the best restored forests in the Cincinnati area. This park features a wide variety of mature native trees and a diverse collection of spring ephemeral wildflowers. Hiking trails give visitors access to nearly every corner of the preserve, providing one with a rich natural experience within an urban neighborhood.

The park was donated to the city in 1973 after failed efforts to develop the land for an apartment complex. The park entrance is located at the east end of Stanford Drive in Northside. Turn right (east) onto Stanford from Hamilton Ave., which is about one mile north of Knowlton’s Corner.
